Poor Clare Nuns
Christ the King Monastery
Hi, everyone.
Just dropped by to say
FIGHT THE ABUSE!!!
Monastic life under the control of one such as our 'one in charge' can be devastating to some of the more sensitive among us. It's also true that as we age, we often lose our ability to blow off such personal attacks and stresses as computer nun has had to endure. Past eighty, Computer Nun was having more and more difficulty dealing with the unnecessary stress caused by the 'one in charge'.
How could it be otherwise when, after obtaining a letter from her doctor saying Computer Nun needs to eliminate stress, but the 'one in charge' dismissed it completely because ' the doctor didn't specifically 'say' she had to leave the Monastery', which, ethically, she could not say.
However, there was no changing her mind, and the 'one in charge' used this as further evidence that Computer Nun had no medical reason to leave, which added to the arsenal used against her. Of course, whatever golden throat told the Federation President was always taken as gospel, without question, and rebuttal only met with silence.

Early on, Computer Nun knew she wanted more than anything, to remain a Poor Clare, but her medical situation needed her to remove herself from all stress factors, or else face a possible early demise. Realistically, that meant she had to leave her monastic life behind. Over the past several years she had fought off cancer three different times, and as most of us know, stress is a huge factor when considering our health.
