It's a shame, really, but what I've said about the poor quality of the person parading about as the 'one on charge' has again been justified, about the sale of 3900, about the way unscrupulous businessmen have taken advantage of her personality derangement, about how much has been lost because of her...
Here's a story about how it might have been;
Had she not hated 3900 so much that she wanted out, no matter what,
Had it not been for her incompetence in business dealings that she was manipulated into selling us out,
Had it not been for her ignorance of financial affairs, even though she was corporate president and treasurer,
Had it not been for her lack of spiritual leadership that led directly to Rome closing down our monastery,
Had it not been for these and many other things, the following story might have ended quite differently.
So, once upon a time, when it became necessary to sell out and move, the 'one in charge' had more than enough cash in the bank, in an account called 'new building fund', to go out and buy a temporary home for discernment, for cash. There was no pressure to sell 3900 at that point. In fact one beautiful place, one with a secure, secuded, monastic setting, was found by Computer Nun. The research she did showed that the cost to support living in this nearly new, green-designed property was way less than what 3900 had been costing, and in fact, if the monastery was closed and shuttered, the cost to maintain 3900 like that, in addition to the new home cost was still less than they were currently spending for 3900! The sisters would have been able to wait a bit longer to sell, could have gotten better advice, and hung onto 3900 just a year or so longer, and maybe sold for top price. Unfortunately, the 'one in charge' turned her back on Computer Nun and wouldn't even listen to the information she had to present to the community! The 'one in charge' dismissed it without a glance, and subsequently sold 3900 for under 5 mil.
Soooo? Fact is, 3900 ultimately sold for over eight million dollars! just not for the sisters. They sold it cheap, and the ones who bought it, held for a short time then re-sold to a big developer, with a profit of over three million. That eight million Could have been given to the monastery, except for one thing.... the 'one in charge' had no clue. What's worse, I'll bet these things will never be brought to light, except for here, and I'll further bet, that those responsible for this and many other blunders will never be held accountable, UNLESS You, Dear Reader contact your Bishop and ask...?
Dear Reader,
