Poor Clare Nuns
Christ the King Monastery
I have to say, this building was massive, and it would have taken a manager of great competence to properly maintain it. Unfortunately, the 'one in charge' of such things wasn't very competent at all, and was so self-important that it was always Her way, or the high-way, even if it was obviously not the right way. It brings a tear to my eye to recall an incident when a worker tried to explain to her a better way to do something, and his big mistake was saying it to her in front of others.... Dear reader, can you spell " saving face":? Poor guy, she didn't speak to him for nearly six months after that, and even would do an about-face and go the other way, rather than meet on the sidewalk and have to make eye contact or something.
Ya, I know, I was talking about the building. But you have to understand, the building was in a state of disrepair, in some serious places and ways, and there was a readily identifiable reason for it. One Person! The 'one in charge'.
I need you to begin to see that the demise of the Monastery at 3900 can be traced back to the actions of just one individual, someone not only incompetent, but also someone who exhibited personality disorders that precluded any possibility for success. It's already happened. The Monastery of St. Clare of Delray Beach has been closed by order of Rome! It didn't have to be that way. It was preventable, all but for the actions of ONE INDIVIDUAL who just may have been working with the Devil to bring down the Order of St. Clare and the Church itself.
Sorry. I got carried away there. I am Really Angry about this. Be assured that there is a lot more to say about this 'personofinterest', including actual pictures of her personal spaces, and documents, all showing not only her extravagant and wasteful spending, but also giving you a glimpse of the outward signs of an inner tormented mind.
But that's coming up later. For now, back to the building, Ya? Let's talk more about building issues, and necessarily, the people and their personal reasons behind the scenes.
